Absolutely, this track at 1.0 version will blow away the Kunos tracks by far.. even at this stage it does. (talking about graphics and attention to details)
Made my first 'vs reality' video. Pretty awesome how similiar the laps turned out, considering that probably many things are different, setup, tires, maybe even the car is not completely the same..
If/when they add a proper multiplayer replay saving option :/
Tried quiting out of the game and manually saving replay, but it was set to 25mb only, recorded like one and a half laps.. Kunos...
Btw, noticed that trend of hating the hotlaps for some reason . Have no idea why, i think of it as equally important part of the sport as racing is. The whole idea of lap times is based on the hotlap.
I wouldn't be excited at all if it was totally made up track, but it isn't, it's a real piece of road exactly like it is in rl, he just added fences and kerbs.. that's why it was appealing to me in the first place
I don't know is it a good or bad thing that i only judge the cars on how they feel, cause, having only the karting experience and driving around town in Golf MKII, i would never notice there is no tank slapping going on. I mean i did noticed it, but it just feels so good under the hands i never thought "wait that's so unrealistic".
I just feel a big powerfull boat and what every tire is doing..
That still didn't answered my question :P Any rFactorish fake effects through the wheel? Cause honestly this is the best 'feedback' car in the game maybe, together with E30.. I wouldn't mind if these are the final physics, cause it's amazing. I would give it some more love though, cause believe me this is a gem, and people will realise it.
And as much as my opinion doesn't matter to you, i would hate if you wasted your talent and months on a fake car. Yes it's the 'mythical' LX8gtr, but i had a fare share of fake cars in my sim career
Anyway, had a blast tonight on Glava Zete, crazy combo, great stuff.
What's the deal with this car, how does it feel so good? Did you used any fake trickeries like some effects that shouldn't be felt through the steering wheel or something?
Have to say- The Yellowbird is bloody good. Great fun on the Street90s tyre, and I found it surprisingly rewarding on the semi-slick too. Remember to turn it up to eleven.
Eleven?
Give me some of your wheel settings now, preferably DFGT. I'm lost again with this minimum force and everything, switching between Leon, Mazda and now Yellowbird, i'm again in that zone when the wheel doesn't feel right :/
I'm on a single 23" monitor. Thought i would not get used to the fact that i don't quite see the whole right side of the car, but it's not an issue at all, i just feel the car and where it ends.
I also upped the game with my onboard camera videos, with lens distortion and all that (i have no idea why i enjoy posting them to YT though :/ )
Btw, don't know how i ever drove any other way. Turned off the virtual wheel, set up the FOV and monitor position so the gauges are behind my real wheel, it's like i'm in the damn car.. Immersion over 9000.
How is the new ffb? I bumped AC gain from 65% (100% in profiler) to 80% and min force to 12, feels great now.
edit: That 'min force' thingy was critical, make sure you bump it up form default 5 to 12 (if u are using logitech wheel) be aware if you use old controller setup, min force will be at 0, double check that!
It's much better then on 5, thanks. What does it do exactly?
